Ten young agricultural journalists from around the world have won IFAJ-Alltech Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism awards to attend the 2011 IFAJ Congress in Canada. Our colleagues in Kenya have a new website called www.wfsj.org/mesha/ which includes an interesting  blog.Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (MESHA) is an association of science journalists and communicators from all over Kenya, with emphasis on rural journalism and communication.Outgoing Mesha Coordinator Aghan Daniel's other good news is core funding of $CAD12,000 from the Canadian-based World Federation of Science Journalists to set up a MESHA secretariat. mehr »

Karen Simon of the USA and Klaus Strotmann of Germany have been named judges for this year’s IFAJ-Alltech Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism awards. The awards, now in their fifth year, recognize leadership potential in young IFAJ members. Through sponsorship from Alltech, IFAJ is able to give 10 awards valued at 1,000 Euros each, to support the winners’ participation at an IFAJ congress.  mehr »
