During the IFAJ Professional Development meeting in Ticino, Switzerland in early May, members took the opportunity to discuss various elements of being part of a national farm writer guild - the challenges and success from their personal point of view - and looked at ways they could learn from each other.  mehr »

Nepalese farmers have been devastated by the April earthquake and subsequent aftershocks.Livestock, crops and agricultural machinery are still under rubble. Thousands of farmers lost their homes, relatives, farming equipment and land. The earthquake’s impact on food security and agricultural livelihood is already significant. mehr »

Agricultural journalists are watchdogs, not only for the freedom of speech, but also for another basic human right: being free from hunger. Both freedoms are related and are continuously threatened. The establishment of associations of agricultural journalists, as recently the Gardja in Ghana is to be welcomed wholeheartedly. mehr »
