The International Federation of Agriculture Journalists (IFAJ) hosts its annual conference, called a congress, in a different member country every year. In 2011, Canada will be welcoming farm writers and agricultural communicators to our country for the first time in over forty years. More...

Set up a national guild
IFAJ is an international umbrella organization for national agricultural guilds/organizations.
Only national guilds/organizations can become a member of IFAJ. The membership committee of IFAJ can assist in setting up a new organization/guild. Do not hesitate to ask: secretary(at)ifaj.org.
At the secretary there is also a document available for setting up a new guild. The secretary can help to provide new guilds/organizations with an example constitution and rules.
Benefits and obligations
Being a member organization of IFAJ brings lots of benefits (international contacts, press cards, professional development etc.). But there are also obligations: paying the fees and an executive should attend the meetings of IFAJ (twice a year). The national organization/guild has to pay the costs. If an organization/guild is not able to fulfill the obligations please contact the General Secretary.
