IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders Program Nominations Will Open December 27

Registration opens on December 27, 2022 to participate in the IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders program, which recognizes outstanding young journalists and communicators who demonstrate great potential to become leaders in our industry.

Each IFAJ member guild may submit one nominee for the prestigious program, which includes participation in a leadership and skills training Boot Camp in the days leading up to the 2023 IFAJ Annual Congress in Alberta, Canada, in June 2023. Alltech will also pay Congress registration fees for Young Leaders.

Young journalists aged 35 or younger as of December 31, 2022 are eligible for nomination. Participants will be selected by an international jury for the award.

The IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders Award was established in 2006 by IFAJ and Alltech to recognize emerging leaders in agricultural journalism and communications from around the world.

“Alltech is proud to partner with IFAJ in support of the Young Leaders program, as we all share the commitment to supporting journalists who give a voice to farmers and producers, and ensure that the stories of agriculture continue to be told around the world,” says Jenn Norrie, Communications Manager for North America and Europe at Alltech.

“Year after year, the Young Leaders program contributes to educating and training the new promising professionals of world agricultural journalism, offering them essential tools for their professional development,” says Addy Rossi, general secretary of the IFAJ.

The online application will be available soon. Each guild can select a nominee and submit their application before January 30, 2023.

Applications must include three work samples. Nominees must be willing to attend the Congress and the Boot Camp. The Boot Camp will be held in English. For details and rules, click here.
