Changes at the Global Office

Farewell and all the best!

Although she has been involved in various capacities with the Canadian Farm Writers Federation (CFWF) for over 15 years, Global Coordinator Johnnie Belinda was also with IFAJ for the last couple of years. But now she will be moving on to greener pastures – literally as she and her family will be moving to New Zealand. Her husband has accepted a job offer so they are off on a great adventure to lands far, far away. A BIG thank you for all her work and support, particularly for the Young Leaders and Master Class programs, for which she had a particular dedication. The IFAJ Executive had the chance to present her with a gift of appreciation at the meeting Dublin at the beginning of November.

Welcome!

Norma Tolhurst will be taking over as Global Coordinator, and she has considerable experience in coordinating activities and providing membership services as she is also responsible for the CFWF office and previously worked for the Quebec 4-H program in a similar role. Norma grew up on her family’s dairy farm, so occasionally gets roped in to help milk the cows, she has a diploma in business administration and enjoys photography when she gets the chance. Welcome Norma!
