Alliance, a leading global brand in agricultural tires, is sponsoring the IFAJ Star Prize contest. The company’s sponsorship will underwrite cash prizes for winners in the Star Prize’s new category structure.
“We are very excited to be able to work with Alliance on the Star Prize contest,” said Addy Rossi, IFAJ secretary-general. “The generosity of this sponsorship is great recognition of the skills of the agricultural journalists who have shared their work through the contest and inspire us all.”
Bruce Besancon, vice president of marketing for the U.S. affiliate of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires—which manufactures Alliance tires and markets them around the world—says recognizing agricultural journalists and communicators reflects the company’s values.
“Agricultural journalists and communicators are the vital link in providing timely, accurate information to farmers around the world,” Besancon said. “As a manufacturer of tires, which are a highly technical tool for farmers, we appreciate how important it is for journalists to convey complicated information skillfully. We are proud to help IFAJ reward the best in the industry and promote professional development worldwide.”
Winners of the IFAJ Star Prize contest will be announced at the IFAJ World Congress in Interlaken, Switzerland, on August 15.
