The Global Office
As part of its strategic plan, IFAJ has hired a Global Office to help create efficiency within the organization. The Global Office answers your questions and can direct you to the relevant resources for anything you may require.
The Global Office handles communications, press cards, and administration of the contests and professional development programs. You can reach the global office by emailing globalcoordinator@ifaj.org
Press cards
One of the benefits of IFAJ is the International Press Card. It is recognized by (agricultural) institutes, governments, ministries, exhibitions, fairs and events all over the world.
The IFAJ Press Card is only available for members of organizations/guilds who are members of IFAJ.
How to order IFAJ Press Cards?
The IFAJ Press Card can only be ordered by the nominated contact person within national organizations/guilds that have joined the IFAJ.
How much does a press card cost?
Press cards cost €15 each.
What do I do?
Your guild/organization will have more information about what is required. You will need to include a photo in digital format (jpg-file) and as small as possible, preferably in the size 20mm x 30 mm. Photos must be in colors RGB (not CMYK) and must have enough pixels (high resolution), so that they can be printed with a minimum of 300dpi. Name photo-files with the name of the person in the order: surname_firstname.jpg.
Contact your guild representative. They can submit the form and arrange payment with the global office. Press card orders are processed once a month.
Freelance Directory
IFAJ offers a freelance directory where members can be listed as a global contact for potential news stories. Likewise, this directory is available to members should they wish to make contacts in other parts of the world. The freelance directory will be available again shortly.
Contests
Through our award program, IFAJ recognizes excellence in agricultural journalism—quite literally the best in the world.
Professional Development Opportunities
In addition to the Young Leaders program, and the Master Class initiative, every year IFAJ organises, or runs in conjunction with member guilds, opportunities for professional development. New programs are announced through the website and through our eAlert system – you can sign up to our mailing list here.
