The programme includes visits to soybean, cattle, orange, sugarcane, coffee, biologicals, poultry, flower production and more

IFAJ and Rede Agrojor (Brazilian Network of Agribusiness Journalists) are pleased to invite delegates and executives from member guilds to the Executive Meeting to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from 15 to 20 March 2026.

First priority will be granted to Executive members; additional IFAJ members who apply to participate will be selected by a committee and notified in January.

The fee does not include air travel, which must be arranged individually by each participant. The arrival airport is São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), the city’s main hub and one of the largest in the world.

Visas

Brazil has visa-waiver agreements with more than 90 countries. Therefore, the first step is to check whether your country of origin is included in these reciprocity-based agreements.

To determine whether you need a visa to enter Brazil, the most reliable source is the official website of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: https://www.gov.br/mre/pt-br/assuntos/portal-consular/vistos/informacoes-sobre-vistos-para-estrangeiros-viajarem-ao-brasil

The portal provides the updated list of countries exempt from visas and those requiring a VIVIS (visitor visa).

Citizens of the European Union (including the entire Schengen Area), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Japan, South Africa and Mercosur countries — such as Argentina, Chile and Uruguay — may enter Brazil without a visa for tourism and short-duration events.

Travellers from the United States, Canada and Australia must apply for the electronic visa (e-Visa), issued online via: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com

The process requires a valid passport, a digital photo, a completed form and payment of the fee. The golden rule is simple: check whether a visa is required, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months, and, if necessary, apply for the digital visa.

If you need a letter for the visa, please contact Daniel Azevedo Duarte by mail (cominternacional@redeagrojor.com.br).

Programme

Participants should arrive in São Paulo on Sunday, 15 March 2026, where they will spend the first night. On Monday, 16 March, the group will travel to São Carlos (235 km away), which will serve as the base for all activities throughout the week.

From São Carlos, visits will take place to farms, research institutes, universities and industries within a radius of up to 150 km. The state of São Paulo has a highly developed road network, ensuring smooth and efficient travel.
