The IFAJ Star Prize recognizes the best reporting of the year among journalists from IFAJ member countries. Now, the Star Prize features a new format, more possibilities, and new categories!
Starting with the 2024 IFAJ Star Prize, all journalists who belong to an IFAJ member guild in good standing will be able to participate in this extraordinary contest. All!
In this way, we expand the universe of eligible stories and productions. There is no longer a limit on the number of participants from each member guild. Now everyone can participate, and you or your work can be chosen as the best in the world in the field of agricultural journalism.
How? Very simple… simply enter your story, photo, report, documentary or campaign on some aspect directly related to the category to which you wish to apply–before March 10, 2024—and certify that you belong to a member guild of the IFAJ .
All works must be submitted in English or be accompanied by an English translation. This, in addition to facilitating the work of the juries, will give you the security that the translation represents exactly what you wanted to convey through your work.
New Categories!
The 2024 Star Prize Contest will feature an entirely new structure organized by category rather than by medium.
To apply for the following categories, entrants must submit work that has been published in digital, print, video, radio, or photographic formats. They must be related to the agricultural sector.
The categories are:
- Innovation
- Sustainability
- Technology
- Trade, economics or global issues
- Rural culture
But this is not all… among the participants in the new categories of the IFAJ Star Prize 2024, we will also recognize the best entries in these categories:
- Photography
- Video
- Audio
- Digital Media
This year, we also will recognize the Journalist of the Year, chosen from among the winners of all categories.
