IFAJ Presidium re-elected

Wageningen, Netherlands – July 11, 2018 – The four members of the IFAJ Presidium were re-elected today to continue to lead the organization for the next two years as it continues to grow.

Delegates to the annual assembly gave the four officers resounding support and then unanimously approved the membership applications from eight new countries and the establishment of the IFAJ foundation, an initiative that has been over three years in the making.

“IFAJ is focused on professional development, youth development and global outreach, and the current Presidium has been working collaboratively to achieve these goals for the benefit of agricultural journalists around the world. I look forward to continuing to work as a team for two more years as we modernize and grow the organization,” said Owen Roberts, IFAJ president.

The election took place at the IFAJ delegate assembly as part of the “Dutch Roots” congress that has brought over 200 agricultural journalists and communicators together from different parts of the world for workshops, farm tours and networking. The annual congress is being hosted by the Netherlands Association of Agricultural and Horticultural Journalism (NVLJ) at the Wageningen University & Research from July 11-14, 2018.

Congratulations to the IFAJ Presidium with all four members re-elected for another two-year term. From left to right, Adrian Bell, Treasurer (Great Britain); Steve Werblow, Secretary General (United States); Lena Johansson, Vice-president (Sweden); and Owen Roberts, President (Canada).
