IFAJ Star Prize Contest is open to entries!

It’s almost that time of year again…contest season! The IFAJ Star Prize program—sponsored by John Deere and Rabobank—are open for entries. Contest deadline is 21 February 2020.

Winners receive cash prizes and global bragging rights for being the best in the world, and every participant gets personal feedback on his or her entry from our judging panels. This is a great professional development opportunity to offer your members!

Each IFAJ member guild can enter one work, published in 2019, into each of the following Star Prize contests:

  • Print
  • Broadcast Audio
  • Broadcast Video
  • Digital Media

Any individual member of an IFAJ member guild can enter the Star Prize for Photography contest with images first published or posted in 2019.

When we receive individual entries, we will send them to you (the IFAJ Executive representative from your guild or whoever you designate as your contest contact). For the Photo contest, we will want to confirm that the entrant is a member in good standing of your guild. For the other contests, we want you to be able to determine which entry you would like to submit as your official guild nomination.

Need translation? No problem. You can translate your guild’s entries into English for judging or ask us to do it for you, thanks to our sponsors. If at all possible, please enter works that require translation as soon as you can to allow time for translation and review before we send the package to the judges.

You’ll find rules and entry forms on the IFAJ website or by clicking here. More questions? Contact Steve Werblow, secretary-general, by clicking here.

Please spread the word among your members. Participation is free—even the translations—and there’s nothing like winning a global award!
