Nominations Open for IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders Program

Nominations are being accepted for the IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders award, which recognizes outstanding young journalists and communicators who demonstrate great potential to become leaders in our industry.

Each of IFAJ’s member guilds may submit one nominee for the prestigious award, which includes participation in a leadership and skills training Boot Camp in the days leading up to the 2022 Congress in Vingsted, Denmark in June 2022. Alltech also pays the Congress registration fees for the Young Leaders.

Young journalists—age 35 or younger by December 31, 2021—will be selected by an international jury for the prize.

The IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders Award was established in 2006 by IFAJ and Alltech to recognize emerging leaders in agricultural journalism and communications from around the world.

Many graduates of the IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders program are now leaders in their guilds and in IFAJ, notes Addy Rossi, IFAJ secretary-general.

The online application is available at https://ifaj.org/our-programmes/young-leaders/. Each guild may select one nominee and submit his or her application by January 21, 2022.

Applications must include three samples of work. Nominees must be willing to attend Congress and Boot Camp. Boot Camp will be conducted in English. For complete rules, visit the IFAJ website at ifaj.org.
