IFAJ Study Tour to Georgia 2026

26–30 October 2026

The Georgian Association of Agricultural Journalists (AGAJ), with the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the National Gastronomy Agency, is pleased to invite applications from IFAJ members for a professional study tour to Georgia.

Over five days, approximately 10 agricultural journalists from around the world will explore Georgia’s diverse agricultural sector, from traditional farming systems to modern commercial agriculture, agri-food innovation, gastronomy, and rural development.

Participants will meet farmers, agribusiness leaders, researchers, policymakers, and industry representatives, while experiencing firsthand Georgia’s rich agricultural heritage and its emerging opportunities.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be active agricultural/gastronomy journalists
  • Be a member in good standing of an IFAJ-affiliated guild or association
  • Commit to producing professional coverage related to the study tour
