Trip starts in Scottish Highland capital of Inverness about 6pm on Monday the 10th and ends 5pm Friday 14th back in Inverness. There is a welcome dinner on the evening of Monday 10th June 2019, gathering at 6pm. Candidates can arrive anytime on the Monday.
They will be travelling from the fertile farms on the Black Isle and
Easter Ross in the East, to the harder hills of the Isles of Skye,
Harris & Lewis on the West. Successful candidates will embrace the
culture, heritage and the agriculture on crofts, farms and estates
across the Highlands & Islands.

Arrival at Inverness, welcome dinner from 6pm
DAY 1 – Tues 11th June
Arable farm – malting barley and potatoes, finish 400 cattle.
Grain Store. Livestock Market. Distillery. Estate.
DAY 2 – Wed 12th June
4WD tour round the Estate, farming/shooting/tourism,renewables.
Herbs.
Hill sheep farm on Isle of Skye.
Crofting Township. Historic Museum.
DAY 3 – Thurs 13th June
Harris tweed crofter and weaver, Luskentyre.
West Harris Trust – Community Land Buy Out.
Seaweed production.
Highland Cattle Fold. Dairy. Black Houses, Isle of Lewis.
DAY 4 – Fri 14th June
Fish farming boat trip to Summer Isles.
Sheep and beef farm at Ullapool – North Country Cheviot Sheep and Luing cattle, Dog Trials and sheep shearing demonstration.
The cost of the seminar and accommodation: £150
There are no single supplements. Most nights will be shared twin accommodation.
