FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) and Corteva Agriscience have launched applications for the 2023 IFAJ/Corteva Master Class to be held in Alberta, Canada from 24-26 June 2023. The program brings together agricultural journalists and communicators from non-member countries for professional development, networking and leadership training in a unique Boot Camp that includes workshops and farm tours.
Master Class participants—selected by an international panel of judges—will also attend the IFAJ World Congress in Olds, Alberta, Canada, from June 27 through July 3, 2023. Travel, accommodation and registration fees are paid through a grant from Corteva.
“The Master Class Program is a unique opportunity to acquire new and valuable knowledge in specialized journalism. Year after year, the IFAJ, together with Corteva, promotes this magnificent program so that colleagues from all over the world can take advantage of it,” says Addy Rossi, General Secretary of the IFAJ.
Application deadline is December 31, 2022. Click here for details and a link to the application form. The application asks for personal statements and samples of the applicants’ work.
The IFAJ/Corteva Master Class has been a high-impact program for participants from Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America for more than a decade. Many participants have led the formation of professional guilds for agricultural journalists.
“For the past 13 years, Corteva Agriscience has been committed to supporting the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) through the Master Class program. The partnership enables global agriculture journalists to participate in IFAJ’s Annual Congress, professional development sessions, and to learn about local agricultural practices from around the world. We look forward to the 2023 Master Class at the upcoming Annual Congress in Alberta, Canada,” says Larissa Capriotti, Communications & Media Relations at Corteva.
