As seen by IFAJ members: Brazil in 2026

People listen to a man speaking, under the shade of trees.

It’s not just IFAJ’s flagship event, the annual Congress, that provides opportunity for IFAJ members to meet.

Our mid-term Executive Meeting is also a wonderful opportunity for members to – once again – go where the stories are and report them to home audiences around the world.

An important part of IFAJ’s function, it brings together leading representatives from our member guilds: to make plans, discuss finances, deliberate new resolutions or initiatives, and generally advance IFAJ, its work and reach.

But these go beyond the necessary business meetings. They also feature enthusiastic participation, farm and facility tours, informative panels and presentations – alongside the capture of all those stories.

In 2023 we met in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 2024 in Malaga, Spain. In March 2025, in Limpopo province, South Africa. And in March 2026, it was the turn of Brazil, taking us to their most agriculturally important state, São Paulo.

Augmented by an enthusiastic and highly skilled cadre of local agricultural journalists, these events create great opportunities for us to bring home stories to our audiences and for host guilds to strengthen their presence and demonstrate the value of networking and cooperation.

Like Congress, it’s also about telling the story of the host country’s agriculture to audiences around the world: read, heard and viewed by tens of millions throughout IFAJ’s 61 member countries and beyond.

Here are some of those stories.
