OECD Rural Development Conference

The OECD has invited IFAJ members to Rio de Janeiro for its Rural Development Conference

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has invited IFAJ members to attend its 14th Rural Development Conference, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 25-28 November 2025.

The first OECD event to be held in South America, the conference will bring together policymakers and stakeholders to strengthen networks and share knowledge on rural policy. Discussions will focus on rural-urban linkages and pathways to sustainable development, highlighting people-centred and forward-looking strategies that align innovation with sustainability.

OECD will use the event to launch the Rural Innovation Pathways Report and re-launch the Reinforcing Rural Resilience Report.

For IFAJ members who wish to attend, OECD has generously waived the delegate fee, but travel to Brazil and accommodation for the duration of the conference are not covered.

Registration can be completed online. For more information about attending, please contact GFAJ chair Jane Craigie.
