The editor of a major Australian publication for the horticulture sector has won the 2008 Australian Star Prize for Rural Journalism.
Good Fruit and Vegetables magazine editor Brad Cooper was chosen from four finalists by an international panel of judges, including Dr Jim Evans from the University of Illinois; Irish Farm Journal northern editor James Campbell; and former Rural Press editor, David East, from Australia. Mike Dugdale from the Geelong Advertiser won the 2008 Australian Star Prize for Rural Photography. Both winners will represent Australia in the IFAJ Star Prize competitions.
