UK guild member Georgina Downs has been named inaugural recipient of the ‘Inspirational Eco Woman of the Year’ award, in recognition of her work on a pesticides campaign that secured a judicial review challenging the government’s approach and policy on the use of pesticides.
The new award is part of the Daily Mail’s Inspirational Women of the Year Awards, reports the guild. As a finalist, Georgina was invited to tea at 10 Downing Street with Sarah Brown, wife of the Prime Minister.
