The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) has entered in to a one-year agreement with Rabobank to sponsor IFAJ’s newly redesigned website (www.www.ifaj.org). The agreement is for 2009-2010 with an option to renew in May 2010.
By agreeing to sponsor the IFAJ website, Rabobank will be able to provide ag journalists around the world access to the company’s premier ag research, as well as assist communicators with IFAJ member services and networking opportunities.
“IFAJ is deeply committed to providing relevant services to our diverse membership across the globe, and we could not do that without generous financial support from companies such as Rabobank,” says Mike Wilson, IFAJ president. “I am confident that this will be a very positive, productive partnership going forward.”
The sponsorship package will include branding on the IFAJ website and will provide a link to Rabobank’s website. There is also scope for exchange of information through discussion groups on the IFAJ website and also the provision of online links to Rabobank research and market trend sites useful to IFAJ members.
According to Rabobank Senior Communications Manager Heather McElrath, a strong commitment and deep knowledge of agriculture make Rabobank a good fit for a global organization such as IFAJ.
“We realize agricultural media play a valuable role in helping our customers get timely information on developments affecting their businesses,” says McElrath. “As a result, we are pleased to support important groups like the IFAJ and to further their efforts to meet the information needs of the agricultural industry.”
As an IFAJ sponsor Rabobank will have the opportunity to attend IFAJ meetings including the annual congress and to work with the professional development committee.
The IFAJ is a non-political, professional association for agricultural journalists in 29 countries. Its website is a central platform for communication, information and professional development for agricultural journalists from all over the world.
Rabobank is a global financial services leader providing institutional and retail banking and agricultural finance solutions in key markets around the world.
