It’s hard to read the news lately. Food security is threatened in many countries, either because of conflict, poverty or changing climate. Trade relationships and international partnerships are completely up in the air. Trade routes are disrupted.
We are thrilled to announce that registration is officially open for the IFAJ 2025 Congress in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted by MESHA (Media for Environment, Science, Health, and Agriculture)!
The IFAJ Executive convened on March 18 in Limpopo Province South Africa and by Zoom in a meeting organized by the Agricultural Writers of South Africa. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to detailed discussion of how to register IFAJ as a limited corporation under UK law.
IFAJ President Steve Werblow and Secretary-General Adrian Bell followed the March IFAJ Mid-Year Executive Meeting with visits to several guilds in Africa. Their travels were funded by a grant from Syngenta through the IFAJ Global Network Partnership program. Guilds welcomed Werblow and Bell and used their visits to convene meetings and workshops across the continent.

After a week of meetings with members of the Kenyan guild, Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (MESHA), and partners supporting our 2025 Congress, I am counting the days to an unforgettable meeting in Nairobi in October.
