Keeping a safe eye on what we write, say and show in agriculture

The stories we tell in the media can make life safer for families and workers involved in agriculture. At the same time, while not intentional, what we write, say and show as images can perpetuate and even increase unsafe agricultural practices. In this latest story produced through the affiliation between IFAJ and the Agricultural Communications Documentation Center, author Scott Heiberger (pictured here) discusses keeping a safe eye on what we write say and show in agriculture.

Scott is the communications specialist at the National Farm Medicine Center, Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation, Marshfield, Wisconsin USA. He is an affiliate of IFAJ through membership in the American Agricultural Editors’ Association.
