NAIROBI, Kenya (October 18, 2025)—Philippa Courtney of Australia was recognized by the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) as the Journalist of the Year 2025. Courtney is a member of the Australian Council of Agricultural Journalists. The award was announced at IFAJ’s World Congress in Nairobi, Kenya, on October 18.
This year, Courtney was the winner in the “Trade, Economics, Global Issues”, and “Sustainability” categories for her entries “Dairy vs. Trees” and “Dairy Redemption” respectively.
“Without a doubt, Philippa is the journalist who has proved that she has what it takes to secure this important international recognition for her great professionalism,” notes Adrian Bell, IFAJ secretary-general.
